FBEC General Meeting – May 23, 2024

About the Event

On May 23, 2024, the Federal Black Employee Caucus (FBEC-CEFN) held a meaningful General Meeting that brought together members, leaders, and advocates committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and representation within Canada’s federal public service.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members to connect, share updates, and discuss ongoing initiatives focused on supporting Black public servants across departments and agencies. Conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration, leadership development, mentorship, and continued action toward addressing systemic barriers in the workplace.

Attendees also reflected on recent progress, upcoming programs, and ways to strengthen engagement within the FBEC community. The event reinforced FBEC’s commitment to creating spaces where Black employees can be heard, supported, and empowered to thrive professionally.

FBEC continues to play an important role in fostering dialogue, advocacy, and positive change across the federal public service, and the May 23 meeting was another step forward in that mission.
