Become an FBEC Member

Are you a current or former employee of the federal public service of African descent? If so, consider becoming a member and/or volunteering with FBEC – an organization that is focused solely on addressing anti-Black racism in the federal public service, both individual acts and systemic discrimination.

Being a member is a great way to stay connected and explore opportunities for further engagement. You will have access to our newsletter with updates, upcoming events and opportunities to contribute to FBEC’s mandate.

Become an FBEC Ally

Allies can be instrumental in fostering awareness of issues facing members of the federal public service of African descent and in actively supporting FBEC’s efforts/initiatives.

Organizations that are not only progressive (acknowledge the role of racism in fostering differential outcomes on a societal level and in lived experiences of individuals) but whose mandate is pertinent to the work of FBEC (e.g. labour relations, unions within federal public service) are encouraged to register under the umbrella of an ‘ally’.

To inquire if your organization is a good fit, please contact us at members@fbec-cefn.ca for more information.

Departments and Agencies

FBEC has already met with a number of federal organizations to discuss our organizational objectives, the issues facing Black federal employees and how departments can support FBEC and its members.

If your department or agency would like to request a meeting or presentation, please contact us at info@fbec-cefn.ca.
